First, lets acknowledge the rollercoaster you just departed from. Diving right into the traumas you’ve endured will not benefit you. You’ve been confused, scared, unsure, and apprehensive of addiction. You need questions answered, situations explained, thought processes talked out. Lets do that.2.
There is no easy way to explain that there is absolutely no right or wrong way to do things. And I mean even in the most extreme of conditions. What worked for one family, may seem horrifying to another. The goal is to establish the starting point of what you’re wanting and willing to give up, let go or outright change completely.3.
Once you feel educated, confident and ready, you will take everything you’ve learned and go out into the world to apply it. We will have the ability to celebrate things that worked and debrief things that didn’t.
